Spring is in full swing at the Library, and April is packed with fun, learning, and community celebration! Along with all your favorite regular programs, we’re excited to offer a variety of special events.
This month we celebrate America 250 – Ohio Moves: Transportation! From an Author Talk about The Great Railroad Strike of Ohio to a Touch-a-Truck for the kids…we’ll be celebrating all things transportation.
You don’t want to miss National Library Week (April 19–25), and a variety of unique learning opportunities which includes an exciting YouthAstroNet program, where 5th grade students can explore space and control real telescopes. The Friends Group will also be hosting a Soup & Sandwich Fundraiser and a Book Sale during National Library Week.
April Is National Volunteer Appreciation Month and we want to thank and recognize all of our volunteers! From putting books back on the shelves to delivering books, and helping with the MML garden; we appreciate everything that our volunteers do!
We’re also proud to partner with the City of Shelby for the Arbor Day Heritage Tree Planting Ceremony on April 24, celebrating Ohio’s role in our nations founding.
We look forward to seeing all of you at the Library!
