What does the Friends of the Library help fund?

•summer and winter reading prizes and events
•teen advisory council field trips
•guest speaker events
•prizes for reading contests…and so much more!

Book sales are a big part of how the Friends raise money to help fund the different requests from the library. WE ACCEPT donations of NEW or GENTLY USED, LIKE NEW books, DVDs, CDs, puzzles and magazines that are dated within the last 12 months. WE DO NOT ACCEPT encyclopedias, dictionaries, text books, VHS tapes, cassette tapes, or any books that are old, damaged, or have mold. Please call 419-347-5576 before bringing any donations.

We also do other fundraising throughout the year such as Soup and Sandwich Night, and O’Charley’s Pie Raffle, and Lobby Book Sales. If you are interested in joining the Friends of Marvin Memorial Library, membership forms are located in the lobby of the library, above the book sale shelves. Annual dues are a donation in an amount of your choosing. New members are always welcome.
