Happy August!

Thank you to everyone who helped make Summer Reading 2023 such a successful year! This summer we hosted over 800 people at Children’s events, including K-City Daycare who walked to us for story times every week. 204 children completed their Reading Logs and 189 finished their entire Game Board. We are so happy that you all took the time out of your busy summer schedules to join us for events, read with us, and work towards “Finding Our Voices.”

Remember, if you have a ticket to the Buckeye Imagination Museum for the July 20 event, make sure you hold onto it. It can be used on August 3rd at 6:00.

We’ll be taking most of August off in order to clean up all our summer messes and plan/prep for the 2023-2024 programming year. If you haven’t yet completed the Parent Survey, please do so ASAP. We try to use your answers and suggestions to build a calendar that works for as many people as possible. We’re looking forward to seeing you throughout the year!

Teens spent the summer working to “Find Your Voice” as well. We enjoyed meeting with authors, The Ohio School of Falconry, and other experts. We crafted, sang, and played games. Overall, teens earned 1,908 raffle slips towards their prizes. Hopefully, everyone learned at least one new thing and had some fun!

We’ll be working on building the Teen Calendar skeleton in August, so make sure you’ve completed the Teen Survey to let us know what you’d like to see on the 2023-2024 schedule. Additionally, TAC will be looking for new members beginning in August, so if you have ideas you want to share, time to help, or want to spend more time with your friends, keep an eye out for upcoming information.

Enjoy the rest of your summer break!
