Easy Baked Mozzarella Cheese Bites – Shelly Krystofik

1 can (8 oz.) Pillsbury Crescent Roll sheet

8 mozzarella sticks from 12 oz. pack, unwrap and cut in 1/4s

3 Tbsp. butter, melted

2/3 cup Italian breadcrumbs

Directions:

Heat oven to 375 degrees.  Unroll crescent rolls, press into rectangle 12×5 inches.  Using pizza cutter,, cut dough into 6 rows by 4 rows to make 24 squares.  Place cheese in center of each rectangle.  Bring dough up and around cheese sticks; press edges to seal. Place melted butter in small bowl.  Place breadcrumbs in small bowl.  Place each stick in butter, let drip excess off.  Place stick in breadcrumbs shake off excess. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 11 – 13 min. or until golden brown. Serve with marinara sauce. They taste best fresh out of the oven.
